On a long, narrow lot in the El Prado neighbourhood, four bedrooms are arranged around an oval courtyard with curved walls that ventilates and shades every window; blue frames and timber joinery recall the Caribbean house. At the back, a timber edge truss spanning about ten metres carries the roof over the kitchen, dining and living areas, with a woven guadua ceiling and a polycarbonate overhang above the pool front; an existing tree passes through the pergola.
